If you're interested in making your building more energy efficient, healthy, and comfortable—and saving money in the process—NYSERDA is offering free information sessions on its Multifamily Energy Performance Portfolio on Wednesday, June 19 at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
The Multifamily Performance Portfolio consists of the following suite of programs for residential buildings with five or more units and four or more floors:
- The Multifamily Performance Program: After an in-depth energy audit of your building systems, a NYSERDA Partner will work with you to reduce energy use by 15% or more to help you receive cash incentives throughout the project.
- Advanced Submetering Program: Owners of market-rate buildings with master-metered electricity that convert to energy-saving submeters can receive cash incentives as well as incentives for energy-efficient appliance upgrades.
- Green Jobs - Green NY Financing: This program provides loans at about half the market interest rate to make energy upgrade projects more affordable.
- Benchmarking: This snapshot of your building's energy performance lets you know how your building compares with similar buildings and which actions you can take to save energy—with a cash incentive included.
Building owners, managers, and co-op and condo board members will learn how they can implement these energy-saving programs for their buildings and receive low-cost financing and other available funding options.
Attendees can sign up for the following sessions on Wednesday, June 19:
- Existing Buildings: 8:30 to 10:30 AM
- New Construction: 8:30 to 10:30 AM
- Advanced Submetering Program: 4:30 to 6:30 PM
All sessions will be held at the Pratt Center for Community Development, 200 Willoughby Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205.
After a question-and-answer panel, attendees will meet with NYSERDA Partners to explore which energy-efficient programs are most suitable for their properties. I will be at the Existing Buildings session to discuss how RAND as a NYSERDA Partner can help reduce your building's energy costs.
