Leg Warmers? Check. Popped collars? Check. Big Hair? Like totally! The Make-A-Wish organization’s 80’s-themed benefit party at Le Poisson Rouge in the West Village on November 12 was an evening filled with music, dancing, a hefty dose of 80’s nostalgia—and plenty of good wishes.
As part of RAND’s charitable RAND Gives Back program, several members of the RAND family donned their best Material Girl and Miami Vice outfits and mingled, sang along, and danced to headliner 80’s cover band Jessie’s Girl.
The event was hosted by Make-A-Wish Metro New York and Western New York Board Director Steven Sladkus, a partner at Manhattan law firm Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas LLP. 100% of ticket sales went to Make-A-Wish, which works to empower and bring joy to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions by granting their wishes.
