Since Sandy, more and more buildings are being fitted with generators to provide power in an emergency.
As Hurricane Sandy made powerfully clear, property owners and managers need to be prepared for the sudden loss of power. In the aftermath of the storm, many buildings have installed, or are considering installing, back-up generators to provide electricity in an emergency.
To help you decide if an emergency generator is right for your property, Midboro Management and RAND Engineering & Architecture, PC are offering a free seminar on the topic tomorrow night at 6:30 PM. The seminar will cover the following issues and more:
- What types of buildings benefit most from a generator?
- What size/type of generator is best for your building?
- Costs and logistics of installation
- Maintenance and safety issues
The speakers will be Michael J. Wolfe, President, Midboro Management, Inc., and Peter Varsalona, PE, Principal, RAND Engineering & Architecture, PC.
The seminar will be held tomorrow night at RAND’s office at 159 West 25th Street (11th floor), just east of Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, and will run for approximately one hour, followed by a question-and-answer session. Limited seating is still available, so to reserve a spot, please reply to seminars@nullmidboro.com; 212-877-8500, ext. 243.
We start serving wine and hors d'oeuvres at 6:00, so come early to enjoy the refreshments, and bring a friend, fellow board member, or colleague. We hope to see you there!
