FISP 9A Deadline Only One Month Away | Halfway Through FISP 9B | FISP 9C Begins in One Month!

Sub-cycle 9A Facade Inspection Filing Deadline Approaching
The 9A Sub-cycle of NYC's Facade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) is coming to a close. The filing deadline for Sub-cycle 9A is just one month away on February 21, 2022.

We are halfway through Sub-cycle 9B, which started on February 21, 2021 and runs through February 21, 2023. If your building's block number ends in 0, 7, 8 you fall in the 9B sub-cycle, and your FISP report is due by February 21, 2023.

Also starting in one month on February 21, 2022 is the 9C Sub-cycle. Owners of buildings in Sub-cycle 9C (block numbers ending in 1, 2, or 3) must have their buildings inspected and their 9th Cycle facade inspection reports filed with the NYC Department of Buildings by February 21, 2024.

Although the 9B and 9C Sub-cycle deadlines might seem far, there have been slowdowns in the lead time of the entire facade inspection process due to COVID-19, therefore, we strongly recommend owners and managers to schedule their FISP inspections well ahead of time to avoid missing the deadline and avoid the $1,000/month and $5,000/year penalty.
