517 West 29th Street - HXH Residences

Completed out-of-ground construction at 517 West 29th Street – HXH Residences, a 10-story, 60-unit condominium featuring a dark-colored brick facade and industrial-style windows.

RAND served as the engineer and architect of record. The development is located in Chelsea’s West Chelsea Arts District, nestled between the Hudson River and The High Line Park.

Built on a site of a former six-story commercial building, HXH Residences comprises 60 units, each with a distinct contemporary aesthetic designed by Ben Hansen Architect.

Renovations included new light fixtures, kitchen with ventless hoods, walk-in showers, door replacement, and ADA compliant units.

Abundant natural light permeates the interior spaces through new expansive windows. RAND also performed commissioning services in compliance with ASHRAE standards.

The Residences is a full-service amenities condominium, including a bike room, gym, and private outdoor space.
