2017 not only marks RAND Engineering & Architecture, DPC’s 30th anniversary, but this year RAND also honors and congratulates Principal Peter E. Varsalona, PE and Partner Steven Tingir for 25 years of dedicated service and outstanding leadership at the firm.

Peter Varsalona joined RAND as an intern while studying engineering at Columbia University in 1992, just five years after RAND was founded. Since then, he has played critical role in building the company into the leading full-service engineering and architectural firm it is today. In 2001, Peter was made Principal and Vice President. In his additional role as Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Team Leader, Peter’s expertise and dedication to his work and our clients has earned him the trust, respect, and admiration of clients, peers, and employees alike. For more on Peter’s journey from intern at a startup to principal of a 90-person firm, read our 25th anniversary celebration blog post.

As Partner and RAND's Facade and Roofing Team Leader, Steven Tingir has been the guiding force on every one of RAND’s exterior repair projects since August 1992. With his detailed knowledge of facade and waterproofing systems and his expertise on technical specifications, Steven has directed the design and construction administration of RAND’s largest projects, including a $31 million Capital Improvement Program at Franklin Plaza Apartments in East Harlem and a $45 million Capital Improvement Program at Nordeck Apartments in Averne, NY on the Rockaway Peninsula. An exemplary leader and esteemed mentor, Steven is an invaluable member of RAND's senior staff.

RAND is proud to congratulate Peter and Steven on their tremendous contributions to the growth and success of the company and we wish them continued success over the next many years of their stellar careers.
