The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has announced that the Multifamily Performance Program (MPP) will begin accepting applications for funding fuel-heated projects on Monday, August 24, 2015. A total of $10.69 million in funding will be available for buildings with five or more units and four or more floors.
The funding levels are based on the percentage of energy savings realized through fuel-heating projects identified in an energy audit conducted by the building's MPP Partner.
The following are the most recent (Version 6.2) MPP incentive levels:
The funding for new construction is:
- Affordable Housing: $900 per unit
- Market Rate Housing: $500 per unit.
Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received. NYSERDA has said it anticipates that its funding will not last through the end of 2015.
