It’s #GivingTuesday!

GivingTuesdayLogoYou braved the crowds on Black Friday, supported your local community on Small Business Saturday, and caught the last wave of deals on Cyber Monday. Now it’s time to kick off the season of giving with #GivingTuesday.

Spearheaded by New York’s 92 Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, #GivingTuesday encourages global charities, families, businesses, community centers, students, and others to follow in our country’s great tradition of generosity by giving to those in need.

In that spirit, RAND has joined forces with the New Alternatives for Children (NAC), a non-profit organization that serves children with severe physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities. In addition to our RAND staff volunteering as mentors to NAC children, RAND is partnering with NAC by donating $1 (up to $1,000 total) for every “Like” NAC receives on their Facebook page for the month of December.

So if you would like to give a big thumbs up for a good cause this holiday season, we encourage you to raise awareness of NAC and help them reach their fundraising goal so they can continue to serve those children who will benefit the most from your giving. You can also donate directly to NAC through their website.

RAND looks forward to continuing to work with NAC directly through the NAC-RAND Mentorship Program as well as other efforts such as #GivingTuesday.

RAND and NAC thank you for your support and wish you and your loved ones a healthy and happy holiday season. Let the giving begin!
