Built as a factory circa 1900, 17 Hubert Street has since been converted to a residence. The adjacent roadway was reconstructed using the original cobblestones to preserve its historical character. After years of water infiltration, the clay bricks of the sidewalk vault could not suitably withstand the weight of modern vehicles.
