RAND designed and administered the parking structure repair program for the two-level parking garage located below the 30-story, 406-unit cooperative.

Water penetration into the cellar and sub-cellar parking garage led to deteriorated concrete throughout the garage, specifically at the concrete slab between the cellar and sub-cellar level.

Development of the repair program included probing to determine the existing construction and sounding to quantify repair areas.

Repairs included floor and ceiling patching with a concrete repair mortar, installation of additional reinforcing where required due to deterioration of the existing and injection/sealing of cracks in the slab, and full-depth slab replacement of a large severely deteriorated area.
