Two-story neoclassical public library built in 1904. With more than 600,000 books, the library holds the largest reference collection in Westchester County.

Background

The library’s deteriorated roof had been leaking for 15 years, causing extensive damage and mold.
In addition, malfunctioning HVAC systems led to stifling temperatures, forcing the library to close for days at a time.
